Our newest Factory Reserve Coffee comes to us directly from the mountains of El Salvador. The farm that it was grown on, Santa Josefita, sits at an elevation of approximately 1300 meters in the city of Ataco, where approximately 80% of the people work in the coffee industry. This beautiful, vibrant city sits at the base of a mountain filled with coffee farms, and the positive energy of these people fills the air. The label design for this coffee is inspired by the city of Ataco.
The coffee, itself, is handpicked over a two week period, during the prime harvest season in El Salvador. The harvesters hand sort the crop to avoid any immature coffee, and then the harvest is taken to the Lima family's mill where it is processed and sundried. Through this type of process, tighter quality standards can be maintained to ensure that only the very best coffee makes it to our warehouse here in Milwaukee.
The result of the care, work, and effort of the harvesters and workers of Santa Josefita is a truly amazing coffee worthy of our Factory Reserve status. This coffee combines full bodied flavors of berries and dark chocolate with hints of citrus and nuts. It goes on sale tomorrow!
