This year's crop of Fair Trade Organic Peruvian is being purchased from the APARM group of Peruvian coffee growers, and, according to our master roaster and green wholesale buyer, Stephen Bybee, has thus far cupped very similar to last year's Organic Peruvian. APARM (Asociación de Productores Agropecuarios Rodríguez de Mendoz) is a cooperative located in the Amazonas region of northeastern Peru and was founded in 1990 by a small group of coffee farmers. The Asociación became Fair Trade certified in 1998 and exports all of its coffee directly. For more information on APARM, please click here.
