Last Friday saw some new faces at our cupping event and we were immensely happy to see and meet them. Along with Stone Creek staff, the newcomers were treated to a sampling of single origin and blend espressos, and guess which ended up as one of the top preferred. Could it have been Stone Creek's own amazing house espresso blend, Bold No. 5? Yes, dear friends, it could and was. Needless to say, we were extremely proud that not only did we choose our own as a favorite but our very savvy Stone Creek customers deemed so as well.
This past cupping was unusual in nature as most do not focus on the very dark roasted espresso but rather peruse the vast and complex majority of bean offerings--that immense and ever expansive land of coffee, running the gamut from light and fruity to dark and robust. It is in this realm where aroma and flavor are most distinct and variable, and where much coffee knowledge is shared and gained.
You would do us great honor to join us for our next coffee cupping at the Stone Creek Factory, 422 N 5th Street in downtown Milwaukee, on Friday October 5 at 9:00AM.
Should you choose to do so, and we truly hope you do, roast master Stephen Bybee shall bequeath to you just some of the many keys to the coffee kingdom. Go ahead and ask the newbies who attended last week. They're all lounging around the kingdom right now, eating bonbons and savoring amazing Stone Creek coffee. Granted their just inside the foyer because they've only participated in one cupping, but the more they attend, the more keys they shall receive, and the more doors they may open, and the more... well, you get the idea. The gist is that if you come to the cupping this too can be yours, and we know the price is right because it's FREE, so come on down!
