Our 2005 Summer Blend is done!   

I spent a good chunk of my morning today at the cupping table.  I had a goal of incorporating our new Natural Ethiopian Sidamo into our Summer Blend.  I had hoped to have it be the dominant coffee in the blend but found that as I cupped alternatives that the Sidamo, with its pungent fruitiness needed some friends to tone it down a bit.  Thus, our 2005 Summer Blend is a combination of four coffees; Ethiopian Sidamo, Kenya AA, Tanzania Peaberry and bit of Organic Timor to give the coffee bit more body.   

This coffee is one of the most balanced and well round coffees I have created.  Finally, I have used three Aftrican coffees knowing our Summer Blend will be used for iced coffee.  The African coffees have a delicious fruitiness that is great as the coffee cools or is poured over ice.
