ART in the Grand: The Grand is ART -

On Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 6pm-10pm, we'll be teaming up with ART Milwaukee for their Art Jamboree in the Grand Avenue Mall. If you haven't been to the Grand Avenue in a while (which, let's face it, many of you haven't) you should really go check out what's happening there. ART Milwaukee is an arts advocacy organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring the community with art through programming and events throughout the city. One such event is the monthly ART Jamboree, which is a traveling interactive art gallery.
ART Milwaukee recently moved their office to the Plankinton Building of the Grand Avenue Mall and will be hosting their Thursday Jamboree (and 1 year anniversary!) in the mall. They have a great evening planned that will include:
- 200 artists displaying and creating art from the local art community
- 10 live singer/songwriters playing sporadically throughout the three floors
- 10 live spontaneously acting actors from local theater companies
- 1 live DJ and DJ scratch lessons
- Beer/wine/food sampling and sales
- Live t-shirt printing
Be sure to stop by our Grand Avenue Lounge in the Second Street Skywalk where we will feature a coffee sampling as well as a live chalk artist.
