The Chemistry of Coffee

At our second SIP Fest, our Brew Methods Trainer, Christian, demonstrated how to brew coffee using a siphon pot. This “chemistry lab looking” device brews coffee utilizing vapor pressure and a vacuum. While this style of brewing isn’t for everyone, learning the science behind how it works allows our baristas to have a deeper understanding of how to brew excellent coffee.
