How long have you been with Stone Creek Coffee?
I’ve been working for Stone Creek Coffee for just under two years now. I have been a barista, a lead staff, a certified cupping leader, and have been the manager at BV for about a year. If you’re ever looking for me, look for the guy wearing a tie.

What makes the Bay View cafe unique?
Bay View is an awesome neighborhood – very community first, family first, and relaxed – I could not ask for a better customer base. The store has a lot of natural character (and a long history pre-SCC). If you haven’t been out here yet, come check us out.

Favorite Coffee:
I’m partial towards an Ethiopia and other African coffees. I love a full bodied, fruity cup of coffee that I can really taste the qualities of the bean (I like my coffee to drink like a full bodied wine).

Favorite Drink:
I have been relying on a two shot latte in a rocks glass to get me through my morning grog. It’s balanced enough that you just taste the sweetness of the steamed milk but you don’t lose the full body/texture of the espresso. Stop by the store – I’d be happy to make one for you.

Why do you like working at Stone Creek Coffee?
I like Stone Creek’s transparency – we’ll tell you exactly where we get our coffee from, how it’s roasted (we’ll even take you on a tour of our plant if you want to come), and how we brew it. We want to help customers learn as much as possible from their experience in the store, not just “hey, here’s some coffee, bye!” The more that I know about a coffee and the more information I can impart during an interaction, the better I think everyone can appreciate when they sip slowly on our coffee.

How do you Sip Slowly?
When I’m not doing coffee related things, I’m probably cooking at home (it’s my way to relax after a long day), hanging out with my cat Balthazar, or checking out the latest restaurant/eatery that just opened up (I’m a closet foodie).
